How To Make: Loombands (Fishtail)

As you have guessed from the title, I am going to show you how to make yet more loombands. This time it is the fishtail, which looks like thus, and I will show the two different methods to make them. 

You will need:
A loomband board
A crochet hook
An S clip
and a fuck load of loombands. 

Ok so method 1 is where you will not need the loomband board as you can just make it on your fingers. However it is more uncomfortable as the bands can be a bit tight. Anywho let's get cracking: 

(By the way I apologise for the picture quality in some images, I could only check after I finshed the loomband and really did not want to undo all my work just to retake images. Sorry :/ )

Step 1: Make a figure 8 with the loomband and hook it on your fingers.

Step 2: Normally place the next two loombands on.

Step 3: Unhook the bottom band...

Step 4:...To look like thus.

Step 5: Unhook the other side to look like this.

Step 6: Place the next band on.

Step 7: Next you unhook the bottom bands like you did in step 4 and 5

Step 8: you continue with this pattern
 (remembering to keep only 3 bands at a time) 

Step 9: Take of the band and remove the last two bands
 (the two left on your fingers in step 8)

Step 10: Add the S clip to both sides.

Step 11: Wear and look cool.

So that is the method without the loomboard, so I guess now I must show you the one with. 

Step 1: Make a figure eight and place on two pegs of the board.

Step 2: Add the next two bands normally onto the board.

Step 3: Unhook the bottom band.

Step 4: Add the next band to the pegs.

Step 5: Unhook the bottom band like in Step 3.

Step 6: Continue with this pattern until it is the size you wish.

Step 7: In order for it to work you need to get the yellow one to be hooked over.
So you repeat the pattern twice more
 (I used red ones to show the extras)

Step 8: Remove the two extra bands (the red ones)
 after unhooking from the board.

Step 9: Add the S Clip to both ends.

Step 10: Wear to look super kawaii.

And now you know how to make a fishtail loomband.

The Results Are In

Before we get into the traumatic day that was today, lets start on a high. Today is Amy's 17th birthday so let's all just be cheery and sing the cbeebies happy birthday song. *Sings the entire song, not that she is sad enough to know the song or anything* HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok back to the real reason you are probably reading this. 

So today across the united kingdom was a rather important day for 16-18 year olds. For they were collecting A-Level results. I was nervous about this because usually when I think an exam went well it went horribly so I was a little panicky this morning. But I got woken up at 7:30 in the morning by a screeching sister sharing the happy news that she had made it into her desired Uni. So congrats Hal. 

I walked into the scary building with Hal around 9:30ish and picked up my results. At first I was refusing to open them but then I gave in saw my results:
Media Studies- B
Biology- C
Psychology- E (Only now realised I was 2 UMS marks away from a D)
Film Studies- D

To get into A2 I needed at least 3 D's, but the problem was Film Studies is a bonus As Level and does not continue for A2. so as far as I was aware I did not get in. And at first I was actually ok with it all, but it was when people started telling me that I could retake this and resit that, I just became overwhelmed with it and sat in the park for an hour. After calling Claire I felt like all I wanted to do was get a job, but then my mum called and told me it would be better financially if I stayed in school cause if not my benefits shall stop and I should go talk to a teacher about my options. 

And I waited at the park for a bit cause I still wasn't quite sure what I was wanting to do. But I left and got to the school and no-one was there so I left and it turned out Mrs Kelleway was still there so I headed back to the school for like the third time and waited to talk. The first thing she said was I would have to resit the entire year, but I really didn't want to do that, because I would no longer be in the same classes as my friends and I would just waste a lot of time because I already got good marks in my Biology and Media. 

So she went to go speak to Mr BossMan and returned saying I had an extra two options:
The first (and my favourite but probably unlikely) is: I can continue with Media, Biology and psychology next year and resit the weaker psychology paper to boost the grade. However this is down to the new head of psychology.
And the second is: I am allowed to continue with Media and Biology but have to pick up a new AS which I decided was probably going to be sociology, cause I had an interest in the subject and wanted to take it but I had more preferred options, and some of my friends did really well in it this year so if I need it I am sure they can help me. 

I feel a whole lot better about what I got now cause I feel like it can all go well again. I hope you all got the results you hoped for, and remember if not, there is always another option or other options. Something is out there so it is not over and do not give up. Stay Strong :)

Cast Your Minds Back....

My post yesterday states that I started this but couldn't finish it (it's always bad when that happens ;) ) But yeah I cannot be bothered to edit it to make logical sense so just cast your minds to think you are reading this on the day it actually happened. 

"Hi, so today I socialised. Whoa shocking :O And we celebrated Amy's birthday today (even though it isn't her birthday yet). But yeah I met Emma and Emily on the bus and we were talking about when people come to our houses and things like that and then we weren't confident in where we were going but got there in the end, and met Amy, Paige, Siobhan, Giancarlo and Connor where we needed to be, and then shortly after Maddy arrived.

So we waited around a bit to get on this boat, which I wasn't that thrilled about because I don't really like boats cause I don't get how they float, but it wasn't like a cruise ship or anything so I kind of dealt with it. However I wasn't too pleased about the bridge leading to the boat as it wobbled and I struggle walking over other kinds of bridges that are much safer. Anywho... We were on the boat and honestly it was rather boring in itself, if I wasn't with my friends I would have thought it was a waste of money. But it was different and nice I guess. 

So we gots off the boat at Riverside and went to Pizza hut and waited for Claire I don't really remember much of what happened while we waited, it was so long ago. But Claire turned up while others went to get food. `So we at foods and drank drinks and I changed seats a lot because and I quote "I want to experience people from different angles" as if we were having some kind of orgy. 

We were there for what felt like hours, of taking pictures, and drink sabotage, and spider murders. So then we stood outside and watched as our balloons attacked each other, and Connor's balloon flee for freedom. Then Amy and Paige parted ways as the rest of us went into the city. We went to the food court and chatted about first kisses and things and everyone made a plan for Connor and Emma to go on a date, which I thought was kinda mean. Then Connor went to go see a film on his own which was a little sad but hey he can do as he pleases. 

So the rest of us walked around the city going in H&M and Shake and such. Then we waited at the bus stop for peoples buses. First to leave was Giancarlo, then Emma, Emily and Claire, and then Siobhan and Maddy split off from me, then I did a bit of shopping and spent ages deciding things that the people were waiting for me to leave so they could close."

Then as you know got extremely distracted and tired so I could not finish this yesterday. Anywho....

The thing is...

The thing is about 4 hours ago I started writing my post for today. But I got too distracted by chatting on facebook, youtube videos and watching some tv shows. I have written out like half of it and it has gone midnight and I literally cannot find the energy to finish it and format it and yeah. So I'm sorry but it is going to have to wait for tomorrow. But whatever. I am sorry but I am just too tired to post it today. SORRYS! Loves yous x

Hello! Today I went to the beach with the family and there isn't much to report, and I am feeling pretty lazy, so here is a tag. I found this via Maddy a while ago and it is just a list of 50 of my favourite things essentially. 

1. Memory- I can't remember exactly when this was, but it was back when my mum was in hospital, and my Nannie would come pick me up from school and walk me home. We would play this game that we had to walk as fast as car speed signs (obviously pretending it was a different scale for walking speed) and when we passed the ones that flashed when a car was going to fast we would then do this slow motion walking because we were going to fast.

Hats, Chats, and Bowling

Hey there.

So today I woke up at like 8:45 :O WHAT IS HAPPENING?! Then I had a shower got dressed, ate some crumpets and snuck in some my little pony play (yes the addiction is back) before heading out and walking to Toys R Us for I was enquiring about a job they had going. And so totally did not walk around half the aisles looking at toys and trying on hats. Didn't happen. 

After this I headed to bowling but got a little bit lost cause I tried taking this route I thought would get me there faster but didn't actually know where it went so it was a little pointless. Anywho, we got there in the end sneaking through the door so I could sneak up behind Emma and scare her. Then we got the lane, got a pitcher (picture) of coke and got to the bowling. I took some videos but I am too tired to edit them today so I might put them up tomorrow I don't know. You probably don't even care. 


So the moose came 1st and one point behind was Mr Tryhard. This was followed by the galloper, the one that apparently lacks grace, the little bit weird one and then superman came last. It was a good game.

After this we played on some arcade games, and Connor and I teamed up in extreme air hockey and WON! WOOP! then I ran out of money but others played on various things. And then we went and sat by the river for a bit and talked about things, that I don't really remember,

and then we went and saw our little Amy at work and some people got foods, and I found enough money for a drink which I was so happy about, and we chatted and stuff and then pretty much went our separate ways.

Everyday

Hey, it has been a while since this has happened but it's relevant so what the heck. Today's post is going to be a review of a book I have just finished called Everyday by David Levithan. This has now become my all time favourite book (sorry Paper Towns by John Green) but I was just so hooked and it was different and great and I cried. Since I started it I was like I want to read more to find out what happens, but now it is over I want it all back, and I want to know more. That I feel is a sign of a good book. 

Everyday is a book about a (I'm going to go with spirit) called A, who wakes up in a different body everyday, and is never the same person twice. A cannot control who he becomes, and it tends to stay within a certain area unless during that day the person he possess travels a great distance, and that means A is restricted to that new area. Basically A has learned to deal with this life and not to interfere too much in the lives possessed and tries to act as though they would. However all of this changes when A becomes Justin and begins to fall in love with his girlfriend Rhiannon....

Ok so that is the basic plot point. If you wish to read this book I highly suggest it as it was just fabulous, and I think pretty much instantly I was hooked to it. So go read it! Unless it doesn't seem like your kind of book, which is fair enough. The next part of this I am going to talk about my feelings of some of the more detailed parts of the book, so you might want to leave to avoid spoilers. Just come back once you've read the book if you really care about my feelings towards it.

My first point about this amazing book was that it pretty much just jumped in to A being Justin. Which kind of shocked me because I thought the first chapter would spend more time getting the reader used to the whole A situation, but no we are pretty much jumping straight into the main plot point of A being Justin and meeting Rhiannon. By the way I know what you are probably thinking. Damn another book about love and relationships, but this is different. At first you might think it isn't, but trust me it is. 

Anywho so Levithan creates a cute little romance between Rhiannon and who she believes to be her boyfriend, as they skip school to go to the beach. But so you feel that A taking Rhiannon from Justin isn't a horrible thing, they make Justin seem like a really bad boyfriend. And they try to continue this plot point a lot to reassure you that When Rhiannon falls for A it isn't some massive betrayal. My favourite part of this is when A becomes this hot chick called Ashley and tries to seduce Justin. 

The book chapters are essentially the different days and the different people A becomes, and some are shorter than others because they was never really much detail about how they lived, which I liked because if I had to read in great detail about what A did in every person's body I would have gotten so bored, However when they did do little side trails I found them interesting, like when A became Kelsey a girl who wanted to commit suicide 6 days later and had planned it perfectly, and it spoke about how A just couldn't let her do this alone so told the father that she was thinking about killing herself and that they should get her help the next day, when the real Kelsey could benefit from it. And my all time favourite was how an adorable love story was told in a mere paragraph between these guys called Hugo and Austin. It was the cutest. 

So from the point A meets Rhiannon he tries everything so he can to meet her again, so when in a body that lives near her. A travels to her, without her realising it is actually the same "person" every time. However the truth starts to unveil when A is Nathan and Nathan believes he was possessed by the devil and becomes big news. I never really cared much for this part of the story, cause I don't really understand why it was needed. I guess it made the end a little more interesting, but at the beginning it just seemed a little pointless and unneeded to be a continued point of focus. Cause there is this crazy reverend guy who is then believed to be someone like A but uses the ability in the same body all the time and it's a little rushed and I got confused. But that might just be me. 

This is getting a little long so I am just going to skip to the part where I cried. Now to try and win back some dignity because I cried at a book, it was like 2 in the morning, I was kind of emotional because of something else, and I think the fact I didn't want the book to end may have factored into it. But anywho... So throughout the book I was all I think what is going to happen is A is going to wake up one day in a body that never existed to anyone and it is truly his own and he can properly be with Rhiannon all the time and they would live happily ever after, because I am a hopeless romantic. But this didn't happen. The book completely shocked me as I never expected this, and I loved it, yet hated it at the same time. 

What happened was A becomes a guy called Alexander, and he believes he is a great guy and truly awesome. A meets with Rhiannon and tell her to believe this is the first time they met and they go on a cutesie little date. Then A tells her that when he leave Alexanders body, he will leave the memories for Alexander so he believes that was there first date, so that Rhiannon and Alexander can form a proper relationship. Then in the final chapter/page it just says about how A runs away in the body of Katie to somewhere far away so A is never near Rhiannon again. 

This made me cry cause A sacrificed happiness to let her be happy, and that is just cute. Part of me did think he was going to somehow destroy his own spirit so he doesn't have to deal with the hurt of no longer being with Rhiannon, but the fact he just runs away and still kind of has to deal with everything just made me sad. DON'T JUDGE ME!

So that was my thoughts and a little bit more about the book itself. I hope you enjoyed and I hope that the way I talk about things doesn't confuse you too much, but if you had read the book first you would probably understand what I am trying to say.

My Day Friday, and Vlog!

IT HAS ARRIVED! She says hoping her phone will work today so it can actually be posted. However I assume if you are reading this it means all is well. I made a bit of a mistake cause I should have prepped this another day before I added the videos and pics cause now I am left with the troubles of remembering what happens. Cause if you read my blog a lot you should know how bad my memory is. But here we go...

So my day started on the bus, and I sat with Claire, and we had a cute little catch up, and spoke about job interviews and things. We also questioned where Emma and Emily were, because they didn't get off the bus when we did. It turns out they didn't get that bus. And we arrived at the park in Hellesdon and only Connor was there. Great. Claire and I originally made a plan to sneak in without him noticing but then he spotted us and the plan failed. So the three of us sat there wondering where the others were and it was awkward. After this Emma and Emily arrived. This left Giancarlo but he took like an hour to show up because he forgot that it was even happening. 

While we waited we played a few games of Uno, which I think Emily kept winning. No friendships were broken I don't think. It was nice. Then we played this weird game which I have recorded for you. Can't remember what it's called. But you get 4 cards each with a letter on it, and you have to make a headline from it like in that part of mock the week. And you have the counter which tells you whether they can be in any order, or the order they came in. So enjoy this video:

During this Giancarlo arrived and we played a few more games, and then Claire and I made a trip to the shop spending ages deciding what to get everyone. Then it turns out we got Connor the wrong drink. Who the fuck cares? It cost you less Connor, we saved you money! Then we just sat around talking while Emma and Emily were going all acrobat which I sneakily took pictures off. Then Emma and Emily left, and we continued to sit around talking deciding to relocate to the swings and got annoyed cause kids kept going on the swings. Giancarlo left after that and it was just the four of us sitting on the swings talking about random things. Like if you switched Genders would you have sex just to see what it's like, and I have thought about it a lot since then. After this Connor was a dick and I left with Claire.

One More Day

Hey! Now I know I said yesterday that I would do the blog that was supposed to be up yesterday, but quite frankly my phone is being the biggest douche in the whole world. So I am afraid to say you will have to wait one more day. 

In other news....I REACHED 6000 PAGEVIEWS!!! It hasn't even been a year yet and I already have this many and I find that an achievement. Mad and A Little Bit of Random Gaming

Hey...So I was contemplating what to blog about today when I noticed that last week I decided to try out vlogging, and was shocked that it has already become my most viewed post. Therefore it only seems logical that I continue as it is clearly what the people want. Unless there was all accidental viewings in which case, meh I'll just continue cause I need more content anyways. 

This is again another random video made of clips I found on my laptop and had no idea what to do with them. I promise in future things will be more recent and focused. But for now enjoy me just playing random games.

The Social Events

Hello! Today I actually did something. I got out of the house and had a life! Well I lie I also did something social on Saturday. OH CRAP! I forgot to blog about Saturday. I could have done that yesterday. Oh well. 

The guys and myself went laser tag. YAY! It started off with I double checking we could play at the desired time. It turns out we could play so yay. Now we had time to kill so I went and got my usual from Amy, ran briefly into Siobhan and sat outside in the shade waiting for Jamie and Kia. 

They arrived and we talked and walked to the laser tag place, where we met up with the others. And then we paid and sat around making tactics. We then met with the group of people that were to join us in our first game. So we had the Red Team: Dean, Jade, Jamie, Dale, Kia, and myself. vs the Blue Team: Emma, Emily, Lish, Giancarlo, Tom, Connor and Jamie (the original Jamie, the other was a newbie) for 20 minutes of hecticness. I played as Loki, and Lish was Thor which was just pure genius and we proved that Loki is clearly the better sibling as I shot her more times. And Red Team one, completely thrashing the other team. I also hit Connor and Giancarlo around 50 times each so that was an achievement. 

After this we had a small break including more tactics discussions, score result comparisons. Then talking to our new friends about organising another laser tag session soon before they left us. ONTO OUR NEXT GAME! Team Red: Lish, Kia, Emma, Emily and myself. vs Team Blue: Giancarlo, Tom, Connor and Jamie. AND THE RED TEAM WON! Woop! This round I managed to shoot Giancarlo 91 times. and I got the second highest score. YES!

After this, we went to the foodcourt, and spoke about couples in our school, and previous relationships, and Giancarlo's coffee high. As well as Kia and I sharing a chip Lady and the Tramp style. All whilst watching Amy at work. Then we wandered around the city and then eventually went our separate ways.

And that is probably the only social thing I will do in a while.
